Welcome to the Wake Family Bulletin!

In honor of our 5th anniversary, Wake Family Eye Care is launching a blog to stay in touch with the community and keep everyone updated to the latest happenings within our practice. We’ve gone through some exciting changes in the last year by welcoming a new doctor, new staff, and announcing a week-long event to commemorate our 5 years of service to the Triangle! To give you just a small glimpse into the future of the Bulletin, we plan to have Q&A’s with our Optical staff so you can ask the questions you’ve always been wanting to know the answers to, video updates explaining different options for eyewear solutions, interviews with the doctors about common questions with what you can do at home to help prevent the need for a costly medical visit, and video montages on new frames and styles!

Just in the past two months, we’ve had some fun at Wake Family Eye Care! One of our technicians, Valerie, was able to bring her daughter to work and show her what mom did for her “other” job when she wasn’t home taking care of her two little ones. Doesn’t she look like a miniature version of her mother?

Valerie’s daughter must have inspired us because we recently unveiled our new uniform scrubs! From right to left in the photo: Dr. Shenk, Eliza, Perla, Tiani, and Valerie! Five extraordinary women who help our patients each and every day! Some of them have been here for 5 years, some of them have been here for 5 months, but all of them want to see you for our 5-year anniversary celebration beginning June 17th!
